Here we have Herb Robert.
A plant that you will see abundantly, particularly on the perimeters of woodlands or even your garden.
Fairly easy to ID, the flowers may be confused with Red Campion to the novice forager, though the leaves are very different, making it easy to tell them apart.
A very pretty plant, I personally like to use it as one would use coriander. People also use it to make tea.
Another plant that boasts medicinal qualities such as the ability to treat diarrhoea, improve functioning of the liver and gallbladder, reduce swelling and inflammation of the kidney and bladder and to prevent the formation of stones.
Herb Robert, was once known as Saint Robert’s Herb, named after a French monk who lived in 1000 AD, who cured many people suffering from various diseases using this plant.
Scientific name: Geranium robertianum
Happy foraging!!
