Here we have Pendulous Sedge!
The seed provider, very easy to gather lots of seeds from this one with minimal effort. I personally like to eat them on my woodland walks as a snack or toss over meals.
The leaves can be dried and either twisted into strong rope and cordage or woven into matting, or pounded and used as insulation inside your clothing in a survival situation.
It has a distinctive triangular shaped stem, making it easy to identify from other types of grass which will be rounded.
