Sea Thrift

Sea Thrift!
Such a beautiful little flower that decorates the coastline and commands your attention for a moment away from the sea.

Sea thrift is rarely used in herbal medicine, though the dried flowering plant is antibiotic and has been used in the treatment of obesity, some nervous disorders and urinary infections. The roots and leaves can also be cooked and eaten.

Scientific name: Armeria maritima

Happy foraging!!
